Therapy
My approach to therapy is grounded in our current knowledge of how the mind works. We will incorporate cognitive, behavioral, acceptance, and commitment-based interventions to help you understand what triggers feelings like anxiety, and how it can hold you back from living the life you want. Emotional pain is part of our human experience, and often we try to control our feelings and thoughts in a way that actually creates more suffering and stuckness.
Together - with a ton of curiosity and compassion - we can find ways for you to you react to life’s challenges in a flexible way that is based on what’s most important for you. We will help you to build skills and leverage strengths to master situations that are difficult when stress, anxiety, or depression get in the way.
The strategies I use are evidence-based, which means they are supported by research and proven to be effective. I also make use of the latest clinical technology, which helps us to communicate more effectively and gives you a lot more resources and support at the tips of your fingers.
As an expatriate, I am interested in and sensitive to cultural and diversity issues. I am bilingual in English and German and can provide therapy in either language. Workshops
I also provide workshops for startups on emotional wellbeing, productivity, effective communication, and mindfulness. I know firsthand how immensely rewarding and exciting working at a startup can be. And also how intense and stressful a startup work environment is at times.
It’s often a constant all-hands-on-deck kind of situation where you work on so many sprints that it feels a lot more like a marathon - but run at the speed of a sprint. My workshops are designed to help you and your team navigate the stress that comes with these specific challenges in a workable way that leads to higher productivity, wellbeing, and a sense of belonging at work.
